Breast Augmentation In The Woodlands, TX
For several decades, women with small, misshapen, or asymmetrical breasts have depended on breast implants to increase the size of their bustlines and the confidence they have in their bodies.
Mothers who have completed their families often seek breast implants to regain the youthful figure lost after one or more pregnancies and breastfeeding.
Dr. Kronowitz is an award-winning double-board-certified plastic surgeon providing breast augmentation in The Woodlands, Texas.
Am I a Candidate for a Breast Augmentation?
If you are unhappy with the small size of your breasts, have average-sized breasts but want them to be bigger, or struggle with asymmetrical breasts, you may be a good candidate for breast implant placement.
You should be in good overall health, a non-smoker (or prepared to quit), and aren’t planning to get pregnant within the next few years. Becoming pregnant soon after breast augmentation can adversely affect your results.
What Are the Benefits of Breast Augmentation?
Breast augmentation procedures are designed to achieve the following:
- Larger breasts
- Firmer and more youthful-looking breasts
- Improved breast symmetry
- Improved cleavage
- Boosted confidence
- Long-lasting results
What Is Involved in Breast Augmentation?
The Consultation
During your consultation, Dr. Kronowitz will assist you in choosing the size, shape, material, profile, and placement of your breast implants to help ensure your desired results.
These options include:
- A variety of sizes
- Silicone or saline material in a silicone shell
- Round or gummy bear (anatomical shaped) with or without texture
- Subglandular or submuscular placement (under or over the breast muscle)
- The profile of the implant (their projection preference)
The Breast Augmentation Procedure
Breast augmentation is an outpatient procedure performed under general anesthesia and usually takes about an hour.
Dr. Kronowitz will make the incisions along natural creases under the breasts, then carefully place the implants according to your agreed-upon surgical treatment plan.
Fat Transfer to Breast
If you choose fat transfer over implants, or you and Dr. Kronowitz have decided to combine these breast enhancement techniques, he will use liposuction to remove unwanted fat from another body area and skillfully transfer it to the breasts.
Women with little natural breast tissue may choose to use fat grafting to cushion the implant for more natural results.
Fat transfer to the breast without implants can create a subtle to moderate increase in size without any risk of implant-related complications.
What Procedures Can Be Combined With Breast Augmentation in The Woodlands?
Besides fat transfer, any of these cosmetic surgeries can be added to breast augmentation. Combining breast and body procedures is often referred to as a Mommy Makeover.
- Breast lift – Women concerned with significant sagging or downward-pointing nipples may choose to include a breast lift to improve laxity and ensure their augmented breasts are elevated. A breast lift removes excess skin, tightens tissue, and repositions the nipple and areola.
- Tummy tuck – Loose abdominal muscles, residual fat, and drooping skin can be corrected with abdominoplasty (tummy tuck surgery). This procedure is the most effective way to slim the waist and flatten the belly.
- Liposuction – Liposuction eliminates stubborn pockets of fat in the abdomen, back, hips, buttocks, and thighs by loosening the targeted fat cells and suctioning them out using a powerful medical vacuum device.
What Will My Breast Augmentation Recovery Be Like?
You will be instructed to pick up any prescribed pain medication prior to surgery. Breast augmentation patients typically return home soon after their procedure to start their recovery.
Someone will need to drive you home from surgery, and you may need help around the house for the first day or more if you have combined procedures.
After surgery, compression garments will be placed over the treated areas. You will need to wear these for several weeks to protect the incisions, reduce swelling, and increase blood circulation.
Expect to be off work for at least one week, during which time you will need to get plenty of rest. Avoid heavy lifting, vigorous exercise, or any strenuous activity for at least six weeks or until cleared by Dr. Kronowitz.
When Will I See My Breast Augmentation Results?
You may see changes immediately following surgery, but swelling and bruising will obscure your true outcome. These surgery side effects will improve over the next few weeks, with the appearance of your final results becoming clearer. However, minor swelling can last up to six months.
Breast augmentation results are generally long-lasting as long as you don’t experience a rupture, pregnancy, or significant fluctuation in weight, as these can impact the quality of your results.
How Much Will My Breast Augmentation Cost in The Woodlands, TX?
Breast augmentation is customized to meet your unique needs, so the cost is determined by the options you choose and the techniques performed to help you achieve your ideal results.
You will receive an inclusive and accurate quote after your consultation with Dr. Kronowitz.

Breast Augmentation FAQ
Should I wait until I am finished having children to receive breast implants?
Young women who don’t plan to have children for several years can arrange to have breast augmentation and should not have any problems breastfeeding.
Women who have started their family but want more children or those who plan to start their family in the next few years may want to wait, as pregnancy and nursing can negatively impact their breast augmentation results.
Can I get breast implants if my breasts are sagging?
Mild sagging may be corrected with breast implants alone. However, severe breast sagging may require a breast lift to be added to your augmentation procedure.
How do I choose the size of my breast implant?
Your plastic surgeon can help you envision the potential results based on your choice of size, shape, and profile. Your frame, current breast size, and lifestyle play a big part when choosing the size of your implants.
Athletes will want to make more subtle increases in breast size to prevent their new breasts from interfering with physical performance.
Women with very little natural breast tissue may be unable to accommodate large breast implants.
Is breast augmentation painful?
Breast augmentation is one of the easiest procedures to recover from. The mild to moderate discomfort you may experience can be easily controlled with medication in the first one or two weeks after surgery. If you ever have severe pain or pain not controlled by medication, call your surgeon, as this may indicate an infection or other complication.
