Brow Lift in Houston, TX
Facial tissues weaken with age, sun damage, and repeated facial expressions. This causes fine lines and wrinkles to form and tissues to sag across the face, including on the forehead and brow.
Brow lift surgery raises sagging eyebrows by tightening lax forehead tissues. This restores more youthful skin and eliminates the pressure that a sagging brow places on the eyelids.
Am I a Candidate for Brow Lift Surgery?
Women consider brow lift surgery to target forehead lines or raise a drooping eyebrow. Candidates for this procedure do not smoke, are in good overall health, and have realistic expectations of their results.
While some women qualify for a brow lift alone, other women may benefit from the combination of a brow lift and eyelid surgery. Dr. Kronowitz will discuss all of your surgical options during your consultation.
What Are the Benefits of the Brow Lift?
Women who desire brow lift surgery hope to:
- Raise sagging eyebrows
- Smooth forehead wrinkles
- Eliminate frown lines
- Restore volume to the upper face

How Is Brow Lift Surgery Performed?
Brow lift surgery is performed with anesthesia to minimize any discomfort during and immediately following the procedure.
While some women require the surgical removal of skin and the tightening of the underlying tissues, other women may benefit from fat transfer to the eyebrows.
What Is An Endoscopic Brow Lift?
An endoscopic brow lift tightens the tissues of the forehead, raises drooping eyebrows, and trims excess skin.
This surgical procedure requires five small incisions to be made in the hairline around the forehead. A small, pencil-sized camera (an endoscope) is inserted through one of these incisions to give Dr. Kronowitz a visual of the underlying tissues without needing to lift the skin.
The sagging tissues in the forehead are tightened through these micro-incisions, excess skin is trimmed, and the incisions are closed.
The endoscopic brow lift is less invasive than traditional brow lift techniques and requires a shorter recovery period.
What Is Fat Transfer to the Eyebrows?
Fat transfer to the eyebrows restores volume and support to the eyebrows, allowing them to return to their normal elevation.
Fat is harvested from another area of the body (such as the abdomen, hips, thighs, or arms), combined with stem cells, and moved to the forehead region.
How Does a Brow Lift Differ from BOTOX® Cosmetic?
Much like brow lift surgery, BOTOX® Cosmetic addresses lines and wrinkles on the forehead and between the brow. This treatment works by temporarily blocking the chemical signals that cause the facial muscles to form wrinkles.
Since BOTOX® Cosmetic is a non-invasive injectable treatment, many patients would prefer it to surgery. Unfortunately, BOTOX® Cosmetic cannot eliminate excess skin, raise a sagging brow, or provide the same long-lasting results without repeated treatments.
Should I Combine My Brow Lift With Eyelid Surgery?
Brow lift surgery addresses sagging tissues on the forehead and eyebrow. Eyelid surgery targets excess skin and sagging on the upper and lower eyelid.
While some patient’s skin laxity is isolated to the brow or the eyelid, many patients experience laxity in both regions. These patients may benefit from a combination of a brow lift and eyelid surgery. This combination maintains balance and harmony in the upper part of the face.
Dr. Kronowitz can also perform a transblepharoplasty internal browpexy to lift the eyebrows without any scalp[ incisions or receding of the hairline. Transblepharoplasty internal browpexy is performed using the upper eyelid lift incision.
How Long Is My Brow Lift Recovery?
Brow lift surgery is an outpatient procedure, and you can return home shortly after the anesthesia wears off.
The recovery period for your brow lift will depend on the techniques used for the procedure. Since brow lift surgery is performed with an endoscope, it will require smaller incisions. This results in less post-operative swelling and a shorter recovery period.
Most of the bruising and swelling disappears within a few weeks, and patients usually return to work and their normal activities within a few days.
Strenuous exercise and activity should be avoided for four weeks to allow the forehead and the eyebrows enough time to heal.
How Much Does Brow Lift Surgery Cost?
Brow lift surgery with Dr. Kronowitz usually starts at $3,900. This figure covers the amount of the surgeon’s fee, but it does not include anesthesia fees, facility fees, pre-surgical tests, or post-surgical dressings. Additionally, any combined surgical procedure, such as eyelid surgery, will increase the cost.
You will be given an accurate brow lift cost estimate during your consultation with Dr. Kronowitz that will include all of the above factors.
When Will I See My Brow Lift Results?
You will begin to notice the results of your brow lift and the tightness of the forehead region immediately following your surgery. Still, it may take several weeks or months for all of the swelling to dissipate and for tissues to heal.
Brow lift surgery provides long-lasting results, but this treatment does not stop the natural aging process, and you will eventually see the return of upper face laxity. While fine lines may develop again, the tightness of your forehead will always be better than if you did not have the surgery.
