Understanding Differences in Liposuction!
As opposed to standard vacuum-assisted liposuction, Dr. Kronowitz prefers vaser liposuction and power liposuction. The advantage of vaser liposuction is that it generates heat and ultrasonic energy which releases the fat from its stacked bundles, often visible as cellulite. The heat melts the released fat cells and helps tighten the skin. Vaser liposuction works well for arms and the back as well other areas, depending on anatomic differences in patients skin thickness and fat density. Power liposuction has a vibrating tip that Dr. Kronowitz feels leads to less unpleasant skin dimpling and irregularities after liposuction.
